How to play Block Drop

Rotate and place falling block shapes, clear complete rows, and keep the stack below the top. Rotate falling shapes, complete horizontal rows, and keep the board from filling up. The game starts immediately in the browser and is designed for a short break, but the local best-score system gives repeated rounds a clear target.

Use the Left and Right Arrow keys to move a piece, the Up Arrow to rotate it, the Down Arrow to lower it faster, and Space to perform a hard drop. On mobile, use the large direction and rotate buttons below the game.

Rules and scoring

Every complete horizontal row disappears and awards points. Clearing several rows with one placement earns a larger bonus. The falling speed increases after every ten cleared rows. The round ends when a new piece can no longer enter the board.

The status panel above the game shows the most useful information for the current mode. Results are saved only when browser storage is available. A saved result belongs to the current browser and device rather than a public account.

Strategy and improvement tips

Look several moves ahead instead of filling the first available gap. Keep the surface as flat as possible, avoid sealed holes, and leave one narrow channel available when you are preparing for a four-line clear.

Short, consistent sessions usually produce better improvement than frantic repeated inputs. Learn how the game responds, look one step ahead, and use the restart button when you want a clean attempt.

Playing on mobile

PlayPick scales the game to fit common phone and tablet screens. Essential touch controls remain outside the advertising area and use large targets. Rotate the device only when a wider view feels more comfortable; the internal game board keeps the same logical dimensions.
